We’re moving to a different park for the Summer Solstice edition since Colonel Sam Smith Park is currently under construction. Note the new location—Lakefront Promenade Park—that still offers the sun behind the CN Tower!

Meet me at the X
Plenty of parking at the P! Meet me at the X. We shoot where the green line is.
Note, this is the same location as the November 2022 Sunrise Meetup where we had a stunning sunrise.
Sunrise Alignment
The sun will rise above the horizon at around 5:38am. At approximately 5:45am, the sun will rise somewhere behind the CN Tower so you can capture the beautiful alignment.
Gear
Bring a tripod as it will be dark at dawn. As for lenses, I always recommend a variety if you have them. A wide angle will allow you to include the surrounding areas while a telephoto lens will let you zoom in on a specific location of your choice.
The Toronto skyline and CN Tower is far. The first photo was taken at 190mm, so you get an idea of what you can get at this focal length.
