Frequently Asked Questions

Is this free?

Yes! This is a free event, but please RSVP so that we know how many people to expect.

Do I need a professional camera to attend?

No, everyone is welcome whether you have a dSLR, mirrorless camera, or smart phone!

What if it rains?

The photowalk is still on even in light rain! The photowalk will be rescheduled only in the event of possible thunderstorms and lightning.

Is there free parking?

Yes, there are two free parking lots, but they are both limited in the number of spots, so come earlier to ensure you get one.

What lens should I bring?

These cherry blossom trees are relatively young, so you can get very close to their branches! For overall tree shots something like a 24-70mm might be good. For closer shots, a 70-200mm or a 105mm macro lens would be useful. Bring them all if you have them, so you can experiment!
