It was almost this time two years ago that my family and I took a trip up to Eigensinn Farm in Singhampton, Ontario. Dubbed as an upscale French dining experience, chef Michael Stadtländer did not disappoint with all the details put into each course.

I won’t get into all the details of the evening here, but thought I’d merely share a snap of his unique pieces surrounding his restaurant. Wine bottles on sticks, and a piggy stuck in between, this was probably one of the least of the oddities found on the grounds of his farm—with the exception of what was behind the fence, shown above. Thinking back, I vaguely remember seeing a doll’s head just laying somewhere on the ground at one point.

There’s nothing like fine French dining surrounded by skulls, doll heads, and piggies stuck on fences. If you can get past all of that though, I highly recommend a reservation here—if you can get one, that is.
