This is Pyramid Island. It stands alone on Pyramid Lake in Jasper National Park. I came here to see the beauty of the island and its surroundings but every time I made it up here, the clouds rolled in and it started to rain. I tried my luck twice, once in the afternoon and another time during sunset.
It was as if somebody didn’t want me to see the beauty of this place. Despite the clouds and some rain, I went out and explored the island a little. This bridge that leads to the island is pretty long and offers spectacular views on either side. Imagine the view during a sunrise or sunset when the sky turns orange-yellow-pink!
That’s just what I will have to do: imagine.
If your plan doesn’t pan out the first time, be persistent and come back another time. If it doesn’t work out the second time, go again. Keep going until you’re able to see what you’ve been visualizing in your head. I will come back to Pyramid Lake another time, and that time will be what I’ve been waiting for.
