It’s been a few weeks now since I received my Kickstarter award from FUZ Designs. This time, it was a Felt Case that I ordered for my iPhone 6 Plus. When I first found this product, I was quite excited since I was in the market for a case that would protect my investment, yet look stylish and not cover the front of the phone. As a bonus, the felt case came just in time for Toronto’s winter weather.
The Felt case by FUZ Designs is a simple and elegant case for your iPhone 6 or 6 Plus. Note these photos are of the Felt Case after a few weeks of use. The felt has frayed a little, giving it a bit of that “authentic” look.
Its simple, minimalistic design is less than 2mm in thickness, adding little to the overall thinness of your precious iPhone 6 or 6 Plus. The industrial strength felt is applied to the inner thermoplastic urethane mould, protecting your phone from unexpected drops and bumps.
Yes, I’ve dropped my phone a few times already, and thankfully because of this case, my phone is still in mint condition.
The case fits perfectly on my iPhone 6 Plus, all open ports are easily accessible, and buttons work as they should. In fact, when I found the buttons on the bare phone to be hard to press at times, the buttons are now much easier to access thanks to the case.
Two things I like about this case:
The protruding camera lens on my iPhone 6 Plus is now fully protected thanks to this case. It is just high enough to protect the lens that it now sits flush against any flat surface.
Second, the case has a small lip on the front, also protecting the front glass. Admittedly if you love the feel of swiping from the curved edge of the phone’s screen, then this case will likely obstruct you from doing so. Nevertheless, this is something I can live with.
My iPhone 6 Plus now has some solid grip to it that I love. The feel of the felt to my hand is soft and perfect for the upcoming winter weather! It almost feels like my iPhone 6 plus will now be protected from the cold elements of winter as well.
