It’s that time of year again! You know it’s summer when you hear the words “ribfest” through the pipeline. Although I’m no rib connoisseur, I do like a good rack (of rib!!!) now and then.
The Etobicoke ribfest, being one of the larger ones in the GTA was my first stop this season—not that I go to many of them though. I was anticipating a large crowd so I went a little early, before dinnertime. It just so happened that it was a really hot day, and the finals for Eurocup was playing that same day. It could have been a combination of both, or none at all, that it was actually not very crowded at all. Lineups were short, and the crowds relatively slim.
Before going to the fest, I had a picture in mind that I wanted to take. I envisioned a large crowd with smoke billowing out from the bbqs, and seeing the large signs of the ribbers lined up all along the side. For some reason, this was something I wanted to take. So with that in mind, I took to my camera and snapped away. To my dismay, because of the light crowd, I wasn’t able to capture that exact picture perfect moment. Nonetheless, here are a few snaps of what I did manage to take.
