Join me on a photowalk by Humber Bay Arch Bridge where we’ll explore what happens during the summer’s Sturgeon Full Moon evening!

Tripod Alert
You will need a tripod for the majority of this photowalk, so please bring your own!
You never know what will happen on a full moon night, so the only way to find out is to go out and see!
Who: Up to 25 photographers
What: Full moon photowalk
Where: Humber Bay Arch Bridge, Etobicoke, Ontario
When: Friday August 8, 8:00pm – 9:30pm
Why: To have fun
Park at the nearest parking lot. Meet at the X. Note the parking lot will get full very quickly!

The sun sets at 8:31pm. The full moon will rise above the horizon behind the bridge at 8:33pm. This is our chance to see what we can get with the full moon, the bridge, and the pedestrians and cyclists enjoying their evening out.
Camera Gear
- Tripod
- A telephoto lens anywhere from 100-400mm and more (if you have one) to get some closeups of the bridge, pedestrians, and the moon
- A wide angle around 24mm to capture the entire scene in front of you (bridge, moon, pedestrians)

RSVP your spot
Because we’re working in a relatively enclosed area, this photowalk will be capped at a maximum of 25 participants. Please sign up on my Eventbrite page here. Spots are available on a first come, first served basis.
Please only sign up if you know you can make it!
Sounds like fun! Thanks, Taku!
I would like to attend this event. Exciting!
Sounds like fun Taku! I’d love to go but I’ll be busy at 9 PM tonight shooting the Beaches Jazz Festival Street party so the signup will probably be full by the time I get back. If there are any spots left I’ll sign up. I shoot every full moon rise in the Beaches. You’ll be shooting from the Lake Shore bridge so bring the best sturdiest tripod you have because there will be traffic on that bridge at that hour and for longer exposures there will be vibrations from the passing vehicles especially trucks. Also if your camera can warn you when highlights are blown out you will want to reference that because the full moon at some point will be much brighter than ambient light and all detail of the moon will be lost if the highlights are blown. Exposure compensation will be your friend.
I would love to attend this!
I would love to join!
Looking forward, so exciting!
Surprisingly there was a spot available! YAY I just checked the moonrise time and it rises just as the sun sets so there shouldn’t be too much of a problem with the difference between the ambient light and the brightness of the moon.
