What’s wrong with the bachelorette?
Every Monday I find myself working at the computer with the TV on in the background. I’m not normally the TV watcher and merely turn it on for the sake of having some background noise, but each week for the past few weeks now, I have been accustomed to tuning into The Bachelorette on CityTV.
This is partly due to the fact that I don’t have cable and CityTV is one of only about three or four channels that I now get. But still, having this show on in the background and listening to all these guys telling us how they are falling in love with Jillian is just… odd.
First of all, I thought for a while that Wes should have hit the streets long time ago as his enthusiasm was making me want to throw up. And while it is true that Jillian is out there to find true love, do you honestly think you can find a suitor while cameras are following your every move? All of this just doesn’t seem realistic to me. And well, I find it hard to believe that by the end of the series, a solid relationship will come out of any of them. If a proposal is made, I would be hesitant in thinking it will go any further than that.
I just can’t seem to shake my head around the fact that one can even think it’s possible to find true love on TV. Maybe it’s just me, but I prefer the old fashion way.
And with that, I am truly happy with what I have right now.
