San Fransisco 2
Dec. 27, 1999 - Jan. 8, 2000

The scenery sessions. These pictures were taken with my Kodak DC 265 Zoom digital camera. Most are scenery pictures as I was by myself in most areas. These are just the few selected pictures that were taken. The best part of these cameraa are you can take as many pictures as you want and keep the ones you like the best, without worrying about running out of film!

Carmel Beach, next to Monterey and Pebble Beach. A great little beach nested beside the quiet, quaint town of Carmel. Beautiful beach here.

A great shot of kids running to the ocean while an onlooker (Tina) holds her seaweed and watches the waves.

Elana carefully washing her seaweed in the ocean.

An action shot of Elana (left) and Tina having a seaweed battle on Carmel Beach.

A wonderful shot of The Palace of Fine Arts (the dome structure on the left) as seen from above, near Lombard St.

A picture taken from the top of Lombard St., the most winding road in North America. The Palace of Fine Arts is in the background again.

A closeup shot of the main structure in The Palace of Fine Arts. A very breathtaking structure when you first see it with your own eyes.

An even closer shot of the rear pillars of the main structure. Look at the intricate detail of the design!

Elana with the main structure in the background.

Here's the main structure again, with the sun setting in the background.

Postcard row at night. This row of Victorian houses compliments the great night view you get of San Fransisco. No, it's not your eyes. This picture got a bit blurry as I was experimenting with the long time exposure settings on my camera. I didn't have a tripod so I had to keep the camera as steady as I could with my hands. Not too steady apparantly!

Elana (left) and Tina displaying the interesting looking compact, electrical vehicle parked outside the Victorian houses.

Looking down the business street of downtown San Jose.

The Adobe Systems Inc. building. I just had to put this in here! Not a very attractive looking building I must say.

A restaurant overlooking the shores of Monterey. That's where I ate my lunch. I had a delicous bowl of clam chowder soup, and a fish sandwich out on the patio.

On the Pacific Grove drive in Monterey. There were tonnes of photo-ops that I found myself stopping, and going, stopping, and going. This drive leads to the famous 17-mile drive, which heads to the famous Pebble Beach Golf Course.

A beach shot on the Pacific Grove Drive. As I was alone, I had to resort to taking pictures of other people and their dogs!

Taken from Pescadero Point, during the 17-mile drive, this is that famous lonely tree standing by itself on the rocks.

A great panoramic shot of San Fransisco taken from the Twin Peaks scenic area. 4 pictures in 1!

Taken on my way back from Santa Cruz, this park is the home of many monark butterflies.

Taken from atop a very steep cliff, while on the Pacific Coast Highway. A gorgious drive from Santa Cruz to San Diego. You're literally driving on the edge of the West Coast. The roads just wind up and down, side to side, right by the ocean. A spectacular drive.

Taken from the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Muire Woods, where the tallest trees in the state grown. These trees are tall, and very, very thirsty as they consume gallons and gallons of water a day.

Look how big they are! I can fit inside one of its trunks.
